The Kelowna Catnip Report

Daddy came up to the farm today to check our catnip patch, and he brought me inside a small sample for inspection.

Naturally, I had work to do.

First, I gave it a proper sniff. Then I gave it another sniff, because the first sniff only tells you so much. After that, I had a little taste and rolled my face into it for a more complete reading.

The smell is strong. The leaves are good. The flowers are coming along nicely. This is clearly serious catnip.

But it is not quite ready yet.

I told Daddy this batch needs about one more week in the Okanagan sun before harvest. You cannot rush a good crop just because the humans are impatient. Catnip has to be ready on cat time.

This patch is growing right here on the Kelowna farm, and when it is ready, it will be hand picked in small batches.

For now, I approve the direction.

I do not yet approve the harvest.
